Qualifications:
- Has demonstrated knowledge and the following 12 areas of discipline or successfully completed an ARC-approved mentoring program.
- Understanding the HUD 4000.1 Handbook
- HUD MPS
- Agreements required
- How to inspect the property
- Difference between 203k consultant results and home inspections
- Understanding the difference between a Feasibility Study and full work write-up packages.
- Understanding 203k loan and Homestyle differences
- How to write a good quality SOR and full package
- Cost Estimating 101 – Large-scale and small-scale estimating
- Liability protection – Things needed (E&O) what to say and what not to say
- How to do an effective draw inspection and pitfalls
- Listed in good standing on the FHA 203k roster (Waiver for listing requirement shall be accepted at the board's approval).
- A consultant at the Certified level shall be working toward a Master Consultant designation.
- Agrees to abide by and signs the association Standards of Practice and/or code of conduct.
Fees:
- Once approved by the board as a certified consultant, pay a yearly Fee of $200 to the association.
The price for membership is $200.00 per Year.
